hello there, this exists to help my failing memory remember things I would want to remember a few years down the road.

i felt like ah meng when i work.
ah meng, like ah meng at the zoo.
when i work, i am in my slack mode with my back facing the door of the office and scribbling/stealingconnection/talking on the phone. then, the customers will walk up next to me and tilt their head to peer at my face, then exclaim "woah, hao xiang ah! (look so alike!)" to my sister, saying that we look alike or "woah, bu xiang ni leh!", saying we do not resemble each other and the ultimate "woah, ni nu er zhe yang da liao ah! (your daughter so old already)!"

my sister needs to be pregnant at twelve to give birth to me.
i look so young meh? T_T

talking about pregnancy, having a pregnant sister living near me and in my life means i am dreading this wonderful gift that God gave women more, the ability to have a life growing in us. (>_<) her pregnant woes ring on through the day, really very troublesome man... oh, and her best-friend-for-over-a-decade just gave birth recently too. which makes me feel like it is such a near thing and not far in the future that it MIGHT happen to friends around me soon. i mean, time flies what. but ahhhhhhh.... kids = no life, no freedom...
will add the positive aspects of it when my nephew baby issac has opened his eyes to see the world two months later (:

oh yah, and there is this whole big hooha over students who qualify for junior college heading over to polytechnic and causing the cut off points to drop in many polys, thus resulting in many people having to appeal. read an article in ST a few days ago and they were saying there were more than 12 letters from parents being concerned over this issue.

imho (in my humble opinion), poly and jc are two very different routes. although both paths are the two major ones that the high school students would take to continue their studies after their Os, one is specialised education while the other is a stepping stone to further specialised education. so, when students who qualify for jc opt to do specialised edu in smth they want, it should't be deemed as a "wrong" move.

"Polytechnics mainly train middle-leveled professionals with relevant and specialized courses, equipping them with the essential skills and tools to enter the workforce and support the technological and economic advancements of Singapore. A wide variety of courses are provided for the students such that they can work on and develop their interest and aptitudes, and integrate themselves into the new knowledge based economy that Singapore is moving towards."(source) (hahaha, just realised after reading the source belongs to RI.) (NYP is only 0.5hectare bigger than TP? o.0)

the purpose of the polys are not to offer a route for "average" students with higher COPs, as claimed by parents who wrote into forum, but to train people proficient in particular areas and skills. were polys merely meant to be just an average institution?

anyway, with more and more people choosing poly over jc, hopefully moe will be nicer and up the COP for jc from 20 to 22? or smth... to cope with those who really want to go jc...

lalala.

this morning i had a rather interesting first experience, no doubt, haha... *meek smile.
after that interesting and short experience, headed to amk kfc with nea1 (:
i am so glad to see everyone from AND there, despite extra lessons and holidaying etc.
thanks for your commitment, and thanks gigi ng for joining us and strengthening the group.

things are getting exciting...
