hello there, this exists to help my failing memory remember things I would want to remember a few years down the road.

Lays-not-good-enough is not good enough,
she needs to be better,
to remember what it's like to make Art and be happy about it,
and to improve her non-existent execution skills.

Today I was very angry, over something I have no right to be angry about, which happens all the time, and ends with me being angry at myself for being angry at something I should not be angry about. Know what I am saying?

Today God was very gracious too,
I have more time to do work!
And today, YT heard some awesome words, and I hope I will be there to witness her great becoming :D

"In order to see the Light, you must sometimes risk the Darkness"

Bossie's 22nd was spent under the stars in the south, at Marina Barrage, which took the driver and her lousy map reader a while to find.
It was quite worth the getting lost and exclaiming at the many, uhm..workers scattered all round the construction site we have to drive through.

The new Singapore skyline

The plan was a picnic underneath the stars (or the comets that some claim to see),

chips dipped in tuna, more chips, fruits....

breaking into the birthday song with the oh so nostalgic saralee cake,

after shaking so vigorously, the cork popped so quietly -_-"

Cheers to getting old!

We had to shine torches and hp lights all the time since the place is dark, and very lomantic, so many couples.

hahaha, lays tries emo shots.

halfway through, this guard came to tell us the water sprinklers will come on after midnight so we obediently left the grass patch before that (and even warned some fellow picnic people),
and killed time while waiting for the sprinklers to start by

trying to take grp shots

this is truly ycomm, they were draping a tissue over my camera's flash to try to shoot like diffusion technique,

and after countless shots, which most turned out to be black,
the water sprinklers didn't turn on.

But it was still an awesome night,
been so long since we relak so much as a team :D
I want to go to Baarage in the day one day.

newwwwwmedia

Midweek, we went to this ulu spacey building in the West to experience New Media and hear about Singapore's great aspirations of being Asian Media Hub or something.
I say propaganda! The whole place is in MDA's logo colour scheme lor. pfff. Even the toilet signs are!

This is us with some expensive spects watching 3D vids. So super dizzy. *annoyed look*

I never knew I can actually be technophobic.

This is the AmazonKindle, some gadget that allows you to download ebooks to read, pretty much like how we download tracks for our iPods.
I am just like...
nothing beats holding a book in your hands.
nothing beats holding any print in my hand in fact.
Which is why I decided to do prints, they just allow the recipient to feel it so tangibly.
All these new touchscreen stuff are just so cold to me.
Next time with the whole touchtable thing, we could possibly be playing boardgames at Mind's just using that, no need for cardboard boxes and plastic counters, and discuss work at Starbucks by just plugging our thumbdrives, or whatever they will be called in the near future, and whisked around on the touchtable with bare hands. :C

What a cold world.
But I believe prints will thrive! >: D

Having three Jap-loving people in the group calls for discussions at Jappy places (while the one who hates Jap is having Ad class), and so we head to Manpuku, which is simply, Jap-styled marche.

The omu rice with ebi

gorgeous pretty fruit tarts, really awesome crust and just so pretty

Sincerely speaking, the food isn't awesome, the tart really make up for it though. :D

School's been....easy, and relaxed.
And I am not complaining.
The brain's still in trauma from Ad class, hmm.

can't touch this

Last Sunday saw Zion meeting up yet again for Pete Tong's (very belated) birthday.
Pete is eighteen now. To think I msn-ed him and chatted about him going into Anderson when he was twelve,
oh my gosh.

Shokudo Coffee house we went,

boys will always be boys.

We wolved down our food and needed to find another place to nua at, so dessert place we went.

This is my melon sago! I like how the soup turns light pink.

It's just right to end off with a group shot, no matter how weird you look in the photo.

teach

Saturday afternoon was spent doing this with Kiappy and Faithy.
I finally learn what it means to deny your rights.

I'm really glad it worked out and everyone has invite cards to give out.
sorry Boss that we all didn't do anything while you were so sick T^T
May Masquerade be a success :D

*

I think I slept more than 20 hours the past two days,
SO SUPER HAPPY.
To be able to go to sleep and not wake up in shock worrying about work,
so happy.

Lays doesn't like to end block and not feel satisfied.
But well, after a lonnggg nice bath and sleep, things should look up!
Stayed over at Qinyi's last night and Christian's the previous night. x(
Past few days like Design Camp. -_-
Sleepless Mental Strain.

+

Spent the night with Sarah at Christian's piecing lego together, taking loads of pretty dslr shots of them, and editing the photos to be a video.

And we submitted our efforts in this ... stlawbelly bag x(
Our lecturer is truly auntie.

Lego's really fun though.

Thank you Christian and Lilin for the narration and background sounds HAHA.

over, over, over.

You know how some particular blocks, you tell yourself, this must be the worst it can ever get.
No man, today, is really the worst it has ever gotten.
Tsk.
We are like doing a month's worth of work in a night.
Really ultimate already.
And they say after the valley, things can only go uphill.
Please start going up, we have 13 hours left.

I really have no Ad genes/brain/passion.

why aren't you sleeping? because I haven't found the right dream

This is still stuck on my wall,
'cause I haven't gotten any issues of Frankie lately (booo).
And oh my gosh, it's mid-May already. :(
Time is sneaking by so so quickly this year.

It's four days to end block, 2 more blocks to end of all modules, 2 more months to internship...
and the countdown to important events just gets scarier...

Today the ycommcore had meeting and we looked at the quarters and we sighed and laughed like we did. I know we will go through everything, like we always do, I just hope we go through them with God, go through them victoriously and with breakthroughs, and bringing new people to the table to sigh and laugh together.

Jesus replied, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and
looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God."
-Luke 9: 62
Sometimes, many times, it's so hard.

+I have refreshed my TPmail ten times already,
please reply me, Mr. F, so I can shoot tomorrow, T^T

happy birthday in advance to you,
xiao gwen :)

got kidnapped right after campcomm meeting
and went through a super long journey with everyone and ended up at

settler's,
with her twenty-one presents, and a brownietopped cheesecake,

she was moved to tears, HEHEHE, she isn't laaaa, wiping away the smudged eyeliner the blindfold caused.

and here's all the souvenir messages she brought home with her.

little isaac,

he will turn two soon.
so fast, so fast.
I remember I was shooting for Ideation when my sis sms came and told me to pray for her 'cause she's going into labour. Little Faith (his sister) is on the way!
Lays is very happy she is going to have a niece. :D

I am happy that PSJeff made the entire youth congregation write a card to our mums,
and I bought her macadamia cookies and passed her the card.
Haven't appreciated her for a long time.
I think she rather I come home for dinner more often than all these gifts though.. soon soon, night classes will be over!

I reach home before it was dark and I am vely happy.

(phone camera dowan to focus ah.)

Today Lobin and Lays finally went to try Frolick.
I am actually not a big fan of yogurt, but I wanted to see how they compared to Yami, and if there were substance beneath the awesome branding by Asylum :D
It's not bad, thicker, they had pretty much similar toppings though.

On my way home, I saw an A0 poster of this

at the station busstop.

I was wondering which product/brand was using the rather overused Hello my name is stickers, and
Sigh.
It was SOTA.
School of The Arts.
N0O0O0O0O0O0O0O0O0O.
The place that supposedly is to groom the next generation of creative Arts talents for SG.
The unforgiving part was that they didn't even bother getting real people to write in the stickers, settled for the lazy fill-in-with-random-english-names-using-handwritten-fonts-downloaded-off-dafont.
HOW CAN LIKE THAT!!!
On a side note, Asylum did their logo too. It's designed to be "empty" and filled with whatever textures relevant to the thing it's being applied on. Quite cute.

Today I had the scariest Skype Convo in my life.
We'll see what happens come Monday.
God, if it's in Your plan, lemme go lemme go :D

^((00))^

Found this on the famous level five vending machine that is key in surviving night classes.
Trust the design dudes to find delight in the worst of situations.

We probably do, being through crits after crits,
meeting deadlines with tears... and all.

School's toughening up, teachers asking about SIP,
everyone seems to have some sort of a defensive mechanism,
omg is he/she applying for the same firm as I am?

What do you do when your teacher shakes his head at your portfolio,
at what you manage to put together after these two years,
and when there isn't time on your side to do anything about those works that reflect your lack of talent?

Many times I feel I am too weak for this industry.
In here, it's easy to take things very personally and cause your self esteem to dwindle.
It' my work you are talking about, something I put my heart and hands into creating,
very much like a chef imo.
Like how your mum gets so pissed off when you say the food sucks.

In the meantime amidst all this psycho (psychological and psychotic) battles,
Let's make magic, Qin Yi :D
Let's make magic, Sarah and Christian!
Yet another end block, in a week's time.
How many have we gone through?
I really lost count.

Two more and it's byebye TDS.

and this happened the saturday before the picnic

It was Yiyou's big 20th! :D
We went to the pretty florist cum cafe at Vivo,
'cause the birthday girl likes florists.

xiaoGwen made awesome cheesecake,
with really cute star chcos in the cheese and jelly and awesome digestivebiscuitcrust, hohoho.

the birthday girl is even smilier that day
when we gave her her typeaddict book and book of message gwen so lovingly stuck and made!

We also went to vote for yiyou and her friend's shoebox design,
which came in third :D
visit the cute duo collab at OHAYO.

(i can't remember what happened here, but)
soon after eevoon's nose ended up in gorgeous creamy cheese.

minops one.
welcome DK :D

ohhh, puay and I were wearing matching colours :D

this happened a few weekends ago

We bought our cheap loot, with free plastic spoons and bags,
changed locations spontaneously, lug them all to the little amphitheatre place at vivo,
sat, laughed much, and heard about one another's interesting stories that we have been missing out on, HURHURHUR.

"try it try it!
sushi with nutella very nice"
but ya, it is actually not bad.

I guess we will keep meeting until we figure out,
that missing fragment of all our memories.
HAHAHA.
