hello there, this exists to help my failing memory remember things I would want to remember a few years down the road.

twelve hours

Only one photo today cause I am smart and left the charged battery somewhere while going out. This is soup that Grey's mum made for us and he carried 4 huge tupperwares of it with him this morning, and we had it for lunch together. So sweet of him.

I left dinner/supper with boss+colleagues at elevenish today.
Today's busy level is rated five by Grey, ._. can't imagine tomorrow's.

I made sandwiches the whole of today,
I cut foam, arrrange them in between fibreboards, spread glue on them and stick the pieces together. Made many many with different materials, we are putting together a prototype model for an interior architecture design. I never knew VisualPress is actually relevant. Too bad I still suck at it. My cutting is bad.

BooBoo-ed a lot today, felt really bad and like a hindrance. I think interning really humbles a person. I started my day learning how to use a penknife, haha, so cute of them to try to teach though.

My very passionate and commited colleagues are still in office, and it's 1.15am now.
._.
I thought leaving at ten when I reach office at ten twelve hours back was bad.
But they are really without complains.
I shall find out how my boss does it. I have seen him correct them before, seen him being part of their work, and I think it's very inspiring.

u_u
Hope that this weekend is free so I can buy more clothes, running out already HAHAHA.
And meet the Hope people too. It's been quite lonely going home myself and knowing that you won't see a familiar face in the whole sea of people.

a p r i l has been updating me about everyone,
KA YAOW AH!
we'll go through we will go through,
12 fridays later
(heh, nuo).

while waiting for my hair to dry
Today I woke up to the piercing ring of my new vintage clock with chairman mao waving.

I have been living in clouds of cigarette smoke. Not my favourite thing, & thank God they don't smoke in the studio, just every other time. HAHA. I am tempted to ask if I could keep the 'L', it's a spare letter for the signboard outside the studio. I'll let you know when I find courage. The last time I asked, my colleague dropped the other letter 'H' and it broke HAHA.

So work has started, officially.
Grey and Derrick (aka Derk (sounds like derr-> zy&yt, rmb tianyi taught us derr=stupid. across one little border so much culture diff!)) are the two colleagues of mine, very nice people. They help me order food everyday, and sing to all kinds of songs all while working.

While I had nothing to do, I decided to see what's so great about Twitter, and got an account. And uhm, it's just...very...self-indulging, in my humble opinion. ._/.

And I bought KinderSurprise! One for each of us.
I like it as much as Tony likes KinderJoy.

Today I travelled about, went to buy paper for model making with Grey in the late afternoon. I am supposed to make a model tomorrow but I have never done one in my life, besides the paper toyhouse that my keychain tiger stayed in (remember, remember, MY & esther?)

Anyway, I sek fan-ed with them and only left studio at ten. And they say today's busy level is two over ten, and wed's will be twelve. Wish me luck. The little language barrier can be really tiring sometimes (dewen you're right, it's a problem...), for the people trying to talk to me too, and I haven't felt so helpless communicating for a long while. But I am trying my best to pick it up fast! Pray for me!

Tonight, I walked to the mtr myself, found the right route, took the right train, walked to the pier, got on the ferry, took the feeder bus and missed my stop T_T thank God for mandarin and kind bus driver who took pity on me and drove me back to the right stop since everyone got off. Was feeling rather tired when this

brightened up my day. You guys are so cute.
Thanks for the effort, it must have taken some sleep to chiong this out when submission ended for you all? My print loving friends made a video! HAHA.

and I read one of this a day in the morning and when I get home :)

and I am trying hard to write in here everyday.

Things here are good but I still miss home!
So thank you for making me braver.

Alright, chairman mao will wave to me and ring in 7 hours,
good night.

My first weekend

Hello, I am safe and good!
Everything's been awesome and I am a very blessed soul.
Thank you those who came and send me off,
your presence means a lot to me, really.

It's late & I need to get up early, so some picts to make up for it!

I live on this little island called Discovery Bay, and I take a bus to the pier and then a ferry to Central every day. ._. It's what people pay to have nice serene environments, filled with angmohs and rich people.

I took my Boss' motorcycle to the cafe on day one,
and I left my heart on the floor, omg, HAHA, didn't know biking so thrilling.
I think he's the kind of motorcyclist that my driving instructor warn me to check blind spots for.. vrooooom. anyway in case you are like omg motorbike, his bike is the huge kind, i held on to this side metal things for my life, not the driver.

My boss and my colleague, Grey says that they want to give my family a surprise by making me fat here. I ate loads of nice stuff, but this is special 'cause the staff cooked it at the cafe and we ate together before their work starts : )

Grey's been awesome and bringing me around, went to this vintage street place, so nice and real. I am slowly getting used to travelling about too! Went to the far west of HK today for smthg that I can't blog about yet (confidential...), but it's really an eye-opener!!!

Everything's been so overwhelmingly nice and good thus far.
I count my blessings, and you guys starting work tomorrow,
remember the card I passed you!

If you didn't receive one, I probably didn't see you on Fri,
so download and print yourself! HAHA.
Love you classmates, hope you guys will have wonderful stories to tell soon.

Ahhh, nights!
And of course,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BERNICE!
I miss you & I'm sorry I miss your birthday!
And the many more birthdays that I'll miss...
Have a wonderful day!

Blogger is not working properly, so I can't blog down all the mishmesh of feelings.

It's a whole load of butterflies churning with nervousness and wandering mind, and one tiny excited bustling bee.

five more days

Freaky right?

Haha! Apparently this is hanging on my seamstress' wall.
She was like 有钱都买不到!

Today I visited magicians-
How the seamstress lady made my blazer so fitting & handsome for me,
that when I wear it after she is done with it and see the difference from the before, I feel so awed. She also fixed my lousy Made in China bag, so I think I can run with it and it won't snap anymore.

I visited OrangeDental, the Dentist there is very entertaining, he kinds of lectures while you lie there with a camera sticking in your mouth and points at the monitor that is showing livestream of that poor tooth at the corner in your mouth.
He was like see small hole!, but....
Then he bzzzzbuzzz digs around, it's actually a BIG hole!
Then he filled it up with the filling and see, perfect already.
haha, magician.

Went for a flu jab and now my left arm is aching a little.
Doctors are magicians too, just that they take longer to make their magic.

Designers are magicians too,
we transform ugly things to pretty ones, HAHAHA.

It's been exciting going everywhere and buying things for the trip.
Exciting, and stressful as work piles up and you miss consults, whoops.
I'm starting to feel just a little more *cough* like the ""jet set" go-getter young designer" my lecturer is talking so enthusiastically about.

But first,
work time.

Sunday
Had a very nice lunch meeting with shixin, sharon & ruying,
talking about design, and seeing how these girls will bless their districts and the church with what they have :)

Met up with a blob of glow for a little lunch treat before i flyyy.
Headed to kith, a really small & comfy place next to Robertson Quay.

And I finally saw this colourful bridge!

Thanks for finding the place & not getting lost, and for the present
I am greatly blessed..

it's going to be a tremendously tough & busy, very hun luan and chaotic week ahead.
And by the end of the week I will be many thousand miles away.
I thank God for a relaxing Sunday & so, it's back to chionginggg now.
Please drop me your little prayers!

I'm leaving my wall behind

My flight will be taking off exactly a week from now...
That's 10:10am next Saturday. ._.
HK & Shanghai- both flights happen to take off at 10:10!

Yeh, so fast.
Have been taking more time looking out of the bus windows on the way to school and appreciating the Singaporean mornings.

For those that haven't heard,
on the fateful day 9th July (Nuo & Esther's birthdays),
I went to school as per normal, a pauper with no jobs no nothing.
Then I received an email from Quirk to go down for an interview, and I was happy.
After class, Kult called and said they can give me an interview too. Whoo.
And right after that, Pattan called and said MOE lifted the ban to HK.. Haha.
It never rains, but it pours.
Thank God for the opportunities, I went for both interviews still.

Quirk's at Pearl's Hill in Chinatown, such a quaint pretty quiet place.
The lady boss is really sweet too.
Kult's high up at old school, rushing up those steps when you are about to be late is no joke man. Their studio is really cool too. I really don't know what to answer when they ask "what do you think your strengths are," I hate this question.

Pattan said this group of OSIP dudes have been through so much ups and downs we are having so much fun, lol.

Anyhow, haven't been blogging much due to all these excitement.
Nice little outings have been happening too.

Happened to be there for Night Festival, and caught The Loop of Fortune with yiyou, zhicai&voon. It was stunning, though we were blocked by umbrellas, tall people and trees. Thank God the rain stopped! The way they use the projections on NMS, fireworks and spinning people made it a visual treat really. Too bad no photos of the performers 'cause my little Ricoh can't do it.
I just love how the glow lingers in the air after the fireworks.

Bad photo but imagine it okay, like orange air.

Stayed in school till late for Nuo's 19th celebration!
成功!
(photocredits dear sarahhh)

no, we were not eating pizzas in the lab, noooo.

We were strolling in the corridors when Sarah gestured to us from third floor and said they ended class, we RANNN, Sarah had a funny little excuse, allan-san strolled behind them and *opens doors* SURPRISE, NUO!

*

Celebrated Shuz's belated birthday with the entire MinOps at 15minutes@lasalle.

ham&mushroom in pink sauce, I ate it 'cause it sounds cute.

Yiyou made this lovely bag for a very lovely Shuz.

and this calendar thing she can put on her desk, it's filled with very cute photos and messages from us.

Ichigo overload!

All these, and a few tens of people made Shuz a happy girl.

:)

Suddenly don't feel like blogging already, so tiring ah HAHA.
Had a tiny catchup session with Ber one evening, many gohome sessions with miss z yanny, the new caregroup's first meeting, much fretting over Polar&Packaging class, lunch with the cool gang at the cool benches, being proud about reaching eir class before 9:20 when class starts at 9, lunch with workingwoman, dewen&minigwen, ihavedesignsonyou workshop and listening to chrislee!, ahboling@chinatown, driving lessons (that will be curbed temporarily).......

I am feeling terribly scared about being abroad alone, excited by the sights that I can see and frequent, a "new life of 3 months" like YT puts it..
It's time for the pampered one to fly and learn how to use the washing machine.

It's been such a ride.
I think I am flying in 1.5 weeks.

eirraarrghhhh!
You know you sincerely detest a module,
when it's been two weeks plus,
and you still ask yourself why didn't you choose another;
when the report is due in 8 hours,
and you just do everything else but type.
arghhhhhhh!!!
why am i writing thousands of words evaluating search engines?!?

cds-es are really so horrible.

I think there're ants sleeping in my mac

Shall not bother with pretty breakfast photos in warm hues and checkered tablecloth, this is my real life and I am eating off a cutting mat. *_*
True geek fashion.

It's been a busy week, rounding off the weekdays with cpm is just a good thing..
The visual display-colours, lights, backgrounds are getting better each time there, great job media! Love how we pray and worship and weave between the two seamlessly, it's just very comfortable..

Realise we really cannot out give this God, who fulfills all five love languages so perfectly.
we need words of affirmation, God gave 66 books.
we want to be served, He sent Him to the cross.
we want the perfect gift, He gave Salvation.
we need a touch, He sends one from heaven.
we want to spend time, He says he'll never sleep nor slumber.
He has all the time in the world for us.
...do we give Him any?

Sighing over bandito pockett (omg oxymoron!) with the classmates resulted in no conclusion. Our time in the school is almost up, we don't take away much with us...
but you'll realise school is a little part.....a hairline in the rope of eternity, and thread of life. oh well. Let's hope Squashim suceeds.

Some tinge of surprise hits me everytime we enter a new month.
It's July, dear friends.
How did half of your year go?
