hello there, this exists to help my failing memory remember things I would want to remember a few years down the road.

weekend
Went for my first Design Festival event today- Taiwan character design @ Basheer.
Singapore Design Festival is a biennial affair and this year is just the second design fest!

I remember the first Design Fest two years ago, when I will drag Xin with me, two un-glam be-spectacled pinafore girls running around, getting lost just to look for the place with the right exhibitions. It was then that my interest for design increased I guess.

The exhibitions are simple affairs, maybe due to lack of budget, but I like its simplicity, even though I often whine "Huh, like that only ah?" after travelling for so long to the places. Got to make do, since we are so small and so not there yet.

Got Cong to go down with me after he found nothing at TP library, lol. Met Philo after that and had a nice chat. Growing old is scary but seeing her work and do ministry is indeed inspiring.

Sunday night was spent with the Zionites with simple dinner and talking at playground, and the playing-with-camera, as follows.

(I never manage to stay in the air long enough to take with the guys.
The entire group jump shot failed. LOL.)

It's great to see everyone together. And I hope this will stay.
That everyone will stay.

That morning was really amusing.

This is Chen Xi and Keven, cousin and nephew.
She is better with dealing with my nephew than I am, oh well.

Dad rented a small bus to send all the relatives and neighbours to my cousin's wedding luncheon. Seeing the adults so active on the bus was just utterly amusing.

Have been to quite some wedding gatherings because cousins are all in the prime time to get married. Sometimes it is almost like an obligation, especially when you enter the wedding venue, past the studio taken shots and you go "Uhm, so which one am I related to?".

Organising such a wedding banquet is harmful to the pocket and just not meaningful when your wedding does not mean much to the guests that got forced to go down. Traditions are traditions.

Creativity takes so much courage.
