Boring recount of week
There goes my one week and 6 days.

I would say it has been quite good and happening thus far. Met Philo on Mon at Rafflescity shopping centre for camp stuff. It gives me the same feeling like paragon, and makes me wonder if I will grow up to be rich enough to dine in all those pretty places and get to watch all the theatre and dance that I would want to. Had to help my sis buy ORIGINAL psp game at simlim the next day and stopped by PS to catch up with Ian over Icemonster. If only I can find out how they make their mango thing.. Love to have company over at night, and had plenty on Wed and Thu. Dear YT came over for some drawing, eating and Tekkonkinkreet on Wed. The illustration of Tekkonkinkreet is pure madness. Love love the style. We had fun and happily overslept. And were late to meet Nuo and Mandark the next Drew and sketched looking out of the window at this. (Photo not edited, just cheated, 'cause the window is purple hahaha!) Nuo and YT then came over for an impromptu stayover, got Nuo hooked on Tamaki senpai~ and Ouran High, drew more and slept till the sun shone in and it's super atsui ah atsui. Met the holidaying klan on Fri and went for steamboat. The company was of course great, but the food really suck, and bad food makes me damn grumpy. I hate it when they compromise on the standard just to earn more. Such food business should totally close down. How can they not serve people their best, no passion in their craft, pft. The only nice thing there was their rice, -_- In case you are wondering, it's the la mei zi steamboat at bugis. Hahaha, a quick google search revealed fellow dissatisfied customers. Went over to clarke quay and stared at the Like the bright lights there though. Tones of people sitting around chilling. We didn't do much, drank a little and they were really cute, started pointing their phones at the moving boats and tried panning. Apparently my panning skills suck.. Aish, so that's about it this week. Oh, finished reading The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, it's been a while since I read a novel. Some quotes from there that moved my thoughts a little, might not be all that lovely to you. "It's what you have always wanted to accomplish. Everyone, when they are young, knows what their Personal Legend is. At that point in their lives, everything is clear and everything is possible. They are not afraid to dream, and to yearn for everything they would like to see happen to them in their lives. But, as time passes, a mysterious force begins to convince them that it will be impossible or them to realise their personal legend." "He had to choose between something he had become accustomed to and something he wanted to have." "Because I don't live in either my past or my future. I'm interested in only the present... Life will be a party for you, a grand festival, because life is the moment we're living right now." "Oscar Wilde said: 'Each man kills the thing he loves.' And it's true. The mere possibility of getting what we want fills the soul of the ordinary person with guilt. We look around at all those who failed to get what they want and feel that we do not deserve to get what we want either. We forget about all the obstacles we overcame, all the suffering we endured, all the things we had to give up in order to get this far." It's kind of Little Prince style and thought-provoking somehow. ![]() Finally finished the 50 episodes of blood+ and sad to say, it was just so-so for me. Didn't like it very much. Been reading some design books and I want all the books from AVA Pub man... And I went ahead and ordered a fisheye lens and the 35mm panoramic adapter. Film brings me joy, just that the joy is a little pricey. Can't wait for them to arrive. ~ 0 Comments: |
