The pretty wrapped up present is laid on my pictogram sketches.
This is an interesting block I think... and a test of my perseverance and excellence.

Well, I kind of finished the pictograms in a few hours right before I had to leave for school and submission. It's easy to stop and just execute, because that would mean completing the assignment, and that would take a few measly hours, cause they're so small and not supposed to be detailed. But i really thought for a long long time.. still cannot really come up with super good ones. Still trying for the next (and final) asignment, cause I love pictograms that make you smile unknowingly when you see them.

MMfund has been moving kind of slowly...
We're supposed to build our own personal portfolio site.
The exercises we do every lesson are giving me the impression that we can finish the final assignment in one night -_- which is true, but if I do something I really like, I might really get a domain! :D

and maybe I will stick with 'laughlikelays' instead of my cool spanish blog name,
with a nice story behind it, which some people don't appreciate >: )

I long to get some social life over the weekends..
(although Saturday's packed with meetings)

So... the night of battle went alright,

and there's another to go tonight.

Fighty fighty for the .pdf, and it's over in 2minutes.

These few days the mind's been saturated with so many things, with the many deadlines and all.

This time round I have grown more in taking care of the mind,

and trying to stop it from going on auto-pilot, like it does when I am busy.

4 whining sessions,
and having 30 minutes left before leaving for school.

The caregroup went to catch movies on Deepavali.
The 1z caught high school musical three,
while the 1a caught 20th century boys.

I remember scrutinizing the 20th century boys poster, expecting to find a "made in SG" cause the poster is just kinda.... hahaha, but the movie was not too bad. But it's the irritating kind that ends right at the climax, and tells you to wait a few months for part two.

This is what happens when we have night class. This whole week has been rather crazy. Been feeling kinda overwhelmed, guess it takes time to get used to having school again.

The first three days this week were spent doing task after task, sleeping at 5am and waking up late and having to eat a quick lunch/ skip lunch :( Didn't have any social life due to timetable and having night classes. I trashed my own chance of a social activity by pangseh-ing Sunny on Thursday. I am so sorry :X Slept through his calls and my alarm. :X Was supposed to eat lunch with him and go register for driving (!) Well, there is always a next time. Lays wants to drive!

I don't know how many of you who served in Freedom read this,
but I want to say GREAT JOB, and thank you for working hard :D
It's a really awesome show, and it's original, I am so proud!
The choreography is so cute, I never knew our drummerboy can dance! lol.
QJ must have practised so hard that his jaw is so flexible now, lol. And the musicians are as always, sounding so good together.

School is starting in like, 12 hours.
Starting on the next half of my poly life,
and YT discovered we actually have 3 common modules :)
TP has this system whereby you can check the entire school's timetable if you know their full name. (kinda freaky actually. but useful for spying) I used to be hardworking and find out if I have friends in every module because we change our classes every month. Now it's just, go there and see, since we know about the whole cohort already.

Here we go again.
Help me to juggle Heroes camp, school and the other ongoing projects well Lord :D

I don't exactly dread school... 'cause all along I kind of see school as an exploration ground for greater things to come. It's not really happening now, I seem to only be completing assignments. But it's okay, I will keep trying.

I want to make breathtaking works.

Yes yes, I know I am very slow and the whole world has seen this, but I finally went to take a look. I have been procrastinating because I know I will feel very arghhhh-why-didnt-they-do-this-last-year, which I am feeling now.

Oh, I just realised I share my birthday with them -_-
'Cause they were launched on 14th Oct, LOL.

Sigh, Apple progresses so quickly, it makes me feel my one year old Mac can be put into the museum already. Friends, our Macbook is now named as Macbook White. ._. while the new Macbook gets the well, "Macbook" name.

I went to watch the long speech given at their launch, very amused at how they attribute a part of Apple's success to the launch of Vista, in a very professional and matter of fact tone. No offense Vista users, hehehe.

I shall not bother listing down why it appeals to me though I dislike the silver and black combination, 'cause I will never have it anyway. I am happy having Crumbs :D

What awes me is Apple's dedication at what they create.
They improve drastically over a short span of time.
They create things unseen of and unheard of for the time and technology.
Watching their video just takes your breath away momentarily.
And that is what Design should do, I think.

I have always wanted to bless my dear friends taking the major exams, but have been too busy to do so. This holiday, I made a group of them a kit each, and I shall journal down the process. We never have enough time to journal down any design process during school, so this shall be one of mine!

Started with making a list for the people to make the kits for.
I am sorry I am on budget so I can't afford to make for everyone...
Spent one whole afternoon buying paper- sticker label, many many different textured paper, photo paper, food and postit pads to include in the kit, a huge staple 'cause I need big bullets and so on.



Then started to find the colours that looks happy, printed them out and cut out.



This is my loyal printer, who jams all the time, but sufficient enough for my needs.
I am printing the things to do after the big Os/As lists.



These are the different four colours and the different designs



These are the verses cards for the Hope people
They are made from my own photographs, and of course, God's word.
Printed them on my fav paper, it's off-white with really cute colourful speckles

Puay was really sweet today, and treated me to this!
I love fruity pebbles (the colourful cornflake thingy) and strawberry bits on peach! (green apple still rocks, but they hardly have it)
She choochootrain-ed me along meridien aisles, made me wave hi to random people, and finally got me that cup of happiness. Thanks for cheering up a sleepy and drained soul!

I see how they gave their best to serve God despite physical tiredness, how they refuse to settle for anything second best... It just touches me and make me want to carry on running with all of you tirelessly and relentlessly!

Here was what happened on my Fourteenth of October, TwoOhOhEight.

I received a call from Jiashern at 1205am, and he sang me two lines of the birthday song and boo-boo-ed and let the cat out of the bag that I will see more than a group of three.

And so I did.
Saw a group of people ^^ at me as I walked past them completely.

We went up to Dempsey for food and Ice Cream.

They made me go out and do funny things to stall time >: )
