![]() It's really scary to take photos because the people of the galleries were just there looking at you, I bet thinking that we puny kids will never buy the paintings, because duh, we can't, they are worth tens of thousands of moolah. I sneaked a few, shall post up this one: ![]() I don't know who painted it T_T, cause I forgot to note it down, but I love the entire series. There are about 6-7 in the series depicting a scene and a face. Love how the artist captured the faces... like how I think everyone has a story to tell in the crowd. It's as though he/she could see that story... (Then again, I might be thinking too much) Well, at least they're kind enough to make entry free for students (I am sorry if you feel like going now, because it ends today :X, I was too busy to blog) Thank you Yanni for your recommendation, and these people that went had an eye feast :D ![]() yingnuo: aye, let's try doing something different instead of our usual smiley shots. LOL. ![]() sticking with our usual smiley shot ![]() our very mini collab over toast at breadtalk I bought ![]() these pretty postcards home. The artist who painted them is Mayuka Yamamoto. Took home a whole load of brochures with generous prints of the artwork. I guess many pieces took my breath away, many I don't get nor understand, some I wonder why it's worth tens of thousands... Makes me wonder a lot more about the age-old debate of Art VS Design. I guess YT was right in the sense we don't have to draw the line, and we can always do what we like.. The line these days is getting finer, designers are holding exhibitions for people to admire their art, artists get their artwork onto packaging and posters, serving with a function as a design. Anyhow, I insist that they are different, especially when you are studying about them. I wonder where this education and little skills will take me to, and everyday I still wonder, how what I do can serve a purpose greater than pleasing myself and fulfilling my dream. 0 Comments: |
