OMG WE ARE SWIMMING IN LISTERINE!
![]() this is taken with my laupok phone cam and it doesn't even need editing. LOVE THE TURQUOISE WATERS. ![]() the journey back and fro sucked though, since we went on a public holiday, and we are poor dudes that chose to take coach and ferry. we pretty much dashed through the customs in a frenzy, so blur and everything. we stopped by a little kampong place for a break and it was so fun. my ying ying looks so happy here! We stopped by Mersing for the ferry, and it's such a pretty little cute kampong-ish town I loveee their phone booths, good branding! :D ![]() ABISH! after much self entertaining, the ferry finally came. The journey took super long, and we kept pointing to random islands and go, "is that tioman?!", and I completely annoyed everyone with my "WHERE IS MY turquoise waters?!". We hit the beach when we got there, duh. Went to play in the pool too :D ![]() Haha, still can't believe we finally travelled together. Since we got there so late, day one ended pretty quickly, with sambal stingray and good food. And nice sparkly water. AND OMG, we walked to this super dark corner of the island, and it was really quite freaky since we were following a local we know for less than half a day there, and across the lake.... we saw so many blinking lights... of fireflies. They were like blinking alongside the many many twinkling stars. Stars really do shine the brightest in the darkest nights. This... needs real life experiencing. It's indescribable. We got up bright and early the next morning, ate buffet breakfast hehehehe, and went snorkeling! anyway i suck at it la, i gulped down a few mouthfuls of salty water. And I completely float above water with the lifejacket, had to struggle to go down HAHAHA. but see the water so clear, can see fish one, don't need to peer down. it's quite freaky seeing all of them swimming next to you, hahaha. Then we rested for a bit, walked to Rock Fall thinking it's a waterfall. It's a series of tiny rapids, really pretty though. and and and went CANOEING. yay, so fun. It felt so surreal to be on the waters with our little sampan, and yet feel so secure. We canoed to this little island opposite the one we are on, but it's so sad I didn't bring my cam along. It's so unpolluted and gorgeous. It's a luxury really, to sit and watch clouds roll by, listen to waves crashing on the sand :) and to play sand like little kids do. and to watch the sun disappear slowly, and God painting the skies :3 so we were very happy people these few days. ![]() Of course the short getaway ended very quickly too :( We had our last meal there before going home with burnt shoulders... This island is so interesting. It's like linear, like left to right, almost like a mario game. The front is the sea, and the back is thousands of super tall trees, emergent layer! haha. I don't know what this fella was doing. Anyhow, Tioman's a good place to go to if you are poor like us, the entire trip took less than S$250, and it's so near too. ![]() Bye bye island life, i like you very much but I'm too scared of the deep waters HAHA. And I love you guys very much too. *insert group photos that will miraculously be sent soon* 0 Comments: |
