I hate automatic doors with handles
Hello there, thank you for checking back and telling me you read this little space, it makes me feel appreciated that I am on your mind once in a while, HAHA! howeverrr, it scares me what the counter says, who are all you unknown people man?? ._. This week flew by relatively painlessly, and I thank God for that. Many mornings I go to work with fear in my heart, wondering if I will screw up that day, and I think it is terrible. I want to be more faith filled! (To yanny and all of you guys who believe, 1 John 4:18a There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment.) And Thank God no major screw ups. Had some fun too: One day when work ended a bit earlier, I went to HK's comics/anime fair. Funny how I didn't even bother with SG's one. B a d d e c i s i o n. Grey told me it's quite near the MTR, apparently HK ppl are used to walking further? "Quite" was like Outram walking distance x 5. And when I got there, it was indeed otaku's heaven. I see young people carrying plastic swords everywhere, girls with loads and loads of lace and trying to be lolitas (as cmi as singaporean ones :X) and guys wearing animal ears... Anime fair gives permission for guys to be gay and wear animal ears lor. Anyway my Otaku friends, I tried looking for presents for you guys, but I fail completely, I bought a And the only little stall I tried very hard to squeeze through was the Lego one. And I couldn't even get in, it's too crowded. Failll, who goes to anime fair and look at lego?! But see, these are displayed outside! SO CUTE RIGHT: *hyperventilates* ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() What is there to not love about lego? And Xin these are for you, sorry no real ones, feast and desire :D (sorry ah, taken in a hurry, everyone squeezing past me) ![]() ![]() ![]() * ![]() Midweek there was typhoon! HAHA. They were all very calm about it, guess it's quite normal here. I actually thank God for the typhoon, 'cause they made me go home earlier in case the ferry gets cancelled when the warning goes up to 8. My area was not badly hit, I would say it's ticklish. All the air gush into my jeans and make it so ticklish. LOL. The weather's been quite annoying though, they have wet summers. And it's super erratic. It's like walk halfway, heavy downpour, walk to 7-11 to get an umbrella and when you're out, it's only drizzling ._. * Last Sunday had a little dinner meet up with Natt and she brought me round Central and to her fav cafe O ' 'cause we both need non-Chinese food. ![]() ![]() ![]() Shared about our different jobs and all, seems like she's having fun :D * This afternoon, Boss was kind and brought us all to yumcha. This is the only lunch with them that took more than 15mins, and I could sit happily, chew and swallow. We went to Lee Theatre Plaza, somewhere near the studio, on the 21st storey, and this is what we see out the window. ![]() ![]() I get very stressed when they ask me to order. Traditional Chinese not that easy to read okay! ![]() And this is awesome!! Do we have it back home too? A happy lump of glutinous rice in mini pau. And finally, my two (and only) colleagues ![]() Grey & Derrick ![]() And the Boss who is so ready to take photos, haha! Food is HK is really expensive, or maybe I just don't look in the right places. The two of them brought me along when they met their friend, and as they yellow&red (yellowjokes&redlightdistrict), I nibbled on food that is just like zhi cha. 4 of us had to pay 19sing each for zhi cha, though it was in a restaurant...There were only 3 dishes leh. :( ![]() Went for herbal tea too. Felt grateful for the efforts they try to find a nice dessert place for me. It's actually quite sweet I think living overseas is exciting because I hardly plan my days. I don't know who I will meet, what I will eat or experience, and I am glad I met Simon, who's really friendly,...and I forgot to take photo... * Oh yes, Boss showed us this today. Grey and I were standing 3m away when they were filming this, watching the production. Now I understand a bit of the love for film making. At every scene I can remember what was happening around, the massive sets and equipment and manpower required to make it perfect, and finally seeing it all right as a complete video is really quite amazing. The ending is really cool, hope they put it up soon, and you can see what I saw :D * This makes me tear. Does it do anything to you? * ![]() You know how when we were younger, there's always "you'll know when you get older." We all say it as though we will reach THE AGE and suddenly everything will make sense, we will know what we want to do with our lives and all these worries and questions at this part of our lives will be taken care of. Well well, the age never comes. When I look at people who are living at "the age", say 25 or whatever, I see the same struggles, the same uncertainty, and parents still call and ask when they're going home...and all. Hmmmm. * ![]() Say I never thank God for you, here you go. thank you Asher Liew, thanks for still caring for your campcomm member. Another few more weeks, and here we go againnnn! Thank you for you guys who have been talking to me on your initiative, I really appreciate it. You guys make it easier and a little tougher at the same time- how I wish I can just ask you to pop by my place. u_u Misses. * Looking forward to the weekend, time to do some research about HK ah, didn't have time to before hand. If you have any recommendations about places I need to visit in the rest of my 70 or so days here, please tell me :D Have a awesome weekend, and good rest for you souls hard at work. Love!
