I enjoy serving with you guys, not forgetting Decor Faith who is sick at home. Thank you for stuffing yourself in a stuffy room with little paper & net access with no complaints. We should do this more often. HA HA HA. We will I guess... ministrydrivepre&postchristmascamprebranding. |

The visit from my bro-in-law, sis & little Isaac to bring me home : ) It was a nice treat ending off the whole 3-month trip with good food (and having people pay for it!) and a bed. It was also a really interesting feeling meeting your family in a foreign land after so long, I think can almost film that scene HAHA when they called me from behind and we walked towards one another, it was a strangely familiar feeling. we went for (greasy) peking duck at Spring Deer (what a name) on night 1. according to the locals it's hard getting a table there without reservation but we did :O and little isaac made a girl friend, tsk. I didn't have much time off work to spend with them though : ( but they brought the little one to Disneyland and Noah's ark. and we went to the peak together one night. we were there 4 years ago, when Isaac hasn't seen this world yet. time flies. oh and we took the tram this time, and it goes 45deg.. Thank you for spending that money, I know you guys don't like HK all that much (too), :') Night snacks were a joy to have Found this in a really dark alley near the hotel Living with them in the same room and seeing them coax the little one to bed for three nights consecutively was an eye opener. The things parents do. * & my last day at shyalala wasn't the best day, was really moody and all and whining about stuff but thank you colleagues you guys are very sweet They got me a really chocolate-y cake for birthday & farewell sentiment about work as below It's been a ride, it's been an experience at SLL. * And so many weeks ago I went on the boat trip with the Hope HK Uni group to Tap Mun & other small islands. It's claimed to be the most unpolluted area in HK.. sorry for the indecent exposure you know such sad abandoned photos of things on deviant, hahaha it's so funny seeing them in reality this little boat with a clear area in the middle for us to look at corals we saw a sea urchin too! what a perfect little white house! * * * The weekend Macau trip with the boss. The objective was to catch Hush 2009, a music festival and to see some artistes that will be playing for us at our client's events. And so the fest we headed. The next day I had a few hours to wander about So I went to see the ruins of St Paul's and Senado Square and so on... was captured by ahh lovely, lovely it's really different seeing graffiti art in your face than in books stopped by the road side and bought from a kind old lady : ) Macau is indeed the sin city of the East everyone says it is, haha. I realised that you can't push cups away from your face like I always think everyone can.. & I also realised I don't have much time to waste getting wasted. Horribleness. * * * The many meals with Creamo that are always enjoyable. She made instant prata for my birthday, oh the joy!!! & she gave me this super cute thumbdrive that I've named after her, since her name starts with "Cr", like all my gadgets HAHA. One thing I miss is HK's deserts :3 Oh, & something random, I think how HK mtr stations are designed to fit their names is really thoughtful. ahh, it's not easy stuffing three months worth of everything into entries here, but I did what I can. *drags HK photo folder away from desktop. |

"It’s so terribly trendy to care about the poor, the environment, and every form of 'betterment' that I begin to assume we must be selling more design by fetishizing social relevance." — David Stairs, Arguing with Success Oh man. Rarely do I point a finger and claim a man to be cynical (most of the time I get the finger pointed at me). Read this article. Rather well written. We'll show you, Mr Stairs, there are people that want to create betterment, and not just for the sake of a fatter pocket. +edit Our dear Allan Siew says if your heart is true and you are true to your heart there is no need to debate WAY TO GO, T01! (has resorted to calling the class that) |

Yes I am back on home ground, showed my fried hair to almost everyone and am trying to get life back to the norm, stop calling MRT "MTR", and embrace awesome food my tastebuds have grown so used to, and of course, meet everyone! Friday evening my super cute kriends (kclan x friends) dear Ber, Xin & Pang, popped up at the airport with a cake and a flower when I was staring at my luggage going round loops of the conveyor belt and waiting for the bro-in-law to come drag that 29kg off the belt. Went home, got rid of Heavys and chomped on sticks of Satay with glee. Had plans for prata supper, went all the way to the store and realise that it's closed for Deepavali celebs HAHAHAHA, settled for Hans' cake & crumble. Next morning I downed Bak Kut Teh with the family, popped by to scare a sleeping log, went for prata at Casuarina, and headed for water baptism! Waved bye to little Gwen & Walmond, now Megan & Gabriel, hehehehehe. The local food hunt continues, and I grabbed briyani home... only after meeting dear ZY who got me KFC's 老北京 wrap all the way from Shanghai, HAHAHA, perfect present, thank you dear! Today was back to school after Pastamania's pizza Calzone style with Yanni at the old new NP's outlet, oh my happening heartland mall HA HA HA. I feel so disoriented taking buses and heading back to TDS, and seeing young people dressed all funky and loud again. So so so so so so glad to see the classmates, not not not glad to see FYP timeline. Thank you for the envelope of happiness YT, and the gerbera and cake and all. I'm glad to be home :) & I am still lagging like 4 HK entries ._. |

neih hou ah, pahng yauh! I am still alive, just that my dear neighbour (whom I haven never seen) seems to have moved his modem further away and I can't borrow that "force field" to get full air port bars :( I am sitting back at my cosy Kowloon home, grinning like an idiot. Thank you for the video, dear caregroup, including the very nice footage of Meridien food. and of course, Thank you "3 angels" [quoted from Shuz] who flew all the way here to see me rant on and on and on. Happy Birthday LAYS! from Hope Church on Vimeo. I am sorry I am such a bad person to surprise, because I spoil my own surprises and stress you all to no end with my countless questions HAHA I hate my stoned expression when someone does something so sweet for me, like taking off days and appearing in Hong Kong 1596 miles away to see me. =') Thank you dear Gwen, Yiyou and Puay! They can't stay very long because they are ahem, working adults, but it was a short trip well spent! They flew in on Friday the 9th, and spent the day at Causeway Bay before meeting Lays-with-her-soul-sucked-dry at Langham @ Mongkok. We went around the mall, I reallyyy like that mall actually. They got me Gardenia bread! And it is such a comfort to have :D Had dinner at 大家樂 and we are indeed very 樂-ed, then I dashed back to the office, and stare at the spinning beach ball of death and that horrible glaring Pantone 1795C till 830am, got home in a half dead state and headed out for brekkie at Kwai Fong. We found ourselves at a rather atas 茶餐廳 and gobbled down all the food. HK people have such nice heavy breakfasts. They received such warm welcome at Hope HK, and I had a (rather) surprise birthday cum farewell celeb from them =') Then, then, then, we headed to Modern Toilet, which is basically this whole cafe themed around the place where we excrete all this food we intake. Sat on toilet bowls and ate from mini toilet bowls slurpeeee Awesome shit this is HAHA Hobbled about MongKok for more shopping, before resting wearied legs and eating awesome desserts from 許留山! I took close ups so you can see hehehehe Spent the night at their friendly hotel with them and made yiyou squeeze into a tiny bed with xiao gwen i'm so sorry i flop around so very much and we had HTHT, and it was all good... but morning had to come see vintage funky wallpaper and after somemore shopping they left via the airport express. =') I know I have been so very blessed and so many people have trotted about HK streets with me, and this bunch came specially for that. But every time someone leaves they leave that empty feeling in me, it's just a very strange feeling, like someone comes, makes you so fulfilled and happy and all of a sudden you can't ring them anymore. If you have lived abroad maybe you'll know that feeling I can't describe in words. But really, Thank you you three so very much! Labels: Hong Kong OSIP 2009 0 comments |
