and sailing on seas nearby till Sunday. I love waking up and knowing the ocean is below my feet. It's been a long time since my family went on a holiday together, so even if it's in a huge ship, I'm glad enough. |

误打误撞
As the start of my attempt to live in the present, less of the future and never in the past, we'll do away with backlogs for now (though there is still the huge Pameran Poskad post I owe this blog), and I'll write about what happened today.Today I finally started on the freelance job that I have somewhat gotten but not quite. It feels great to draw again. Feels great that every little stroke is worth some money, hahaha. Today we had dinner at Toa Payoh after seeing this zichar place on TV last LG. Yi Jia South Village Seafood Restaurant Blk 21 Lorong 7 Toa Payoh Yes, they live up to their name, not overrated. Strawberry chicken cutlet, sounds & looks gross but tastes great. + It's been 2 months and 10 days since the final submission for fyp, (the countdown widget is still on my dashboard) gosh, even typing those three letters feels distant now. I am blessed with much ("you are like a hot potatoe now"), and I'm grateful for that. Many interesting calls, some google searches, some emails, and a few visits later, I think I got it sorted out for the next chapter. Or maybe not quite. I'm open to have You mess my plans up :) It's exciting, it's like really "living it out" now. The world is ours to roam. 人小志气大! As I go about, help me keep my focus right, keep my morals intact, and expand that dream. To not want what everyone wants, but to remember what I want, what I need, and Your best for me. + 30He must become greater; I must become less. 31"The one who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The one who comes from heaven is above all. |

i slurp java chip
Just gave bottles of "oil" to my dear mugging friends and currently looking at them looking at books. At least they are trying to. It's been an exciting day today, running about tanjong pagar, that bit of a dream come true feeling hahaha. + Colourful birthday celebrations that passed recently: (Photos mostly courtesy of cho zy) We were at Hairloom & Caramel for zy's 20th. Totally cute plates/cutlery My salmon sandwich after it got flashed at by another camera. (but looks like glorious sunlight, righttt) They had a cute bunny burnt on the bread. Food's good. the boys came too and left after while we went to the Groovevisions exhibition at Jap Creative Center A while back, they came to TP for a talk and it was great! Just in case you're wondering, nooo laaaa, we didn't do this. *darts eyes to another corner*. + A day later with almost no sleep for some of us, YT's 20th! At With A Pinch of Salt. Super cutesy place. Food's not bad. It was a short one with her this year, but I hope Tama makes up for some late joy! + Eons ago was dear Ying's 20th. Klan is a group of friends that are magical haha. I was lugging my FYP precious print outs and no sleep all the way to the west and feeling like I could kill something... but once I sat at the table, their contagious laughter just killed my wanting-to-kill-something. We went to a Japanese restaurant at Sunset Way. She's a Foodie, like me, food = joy. Huishan baked this for Ying! It's pink and brown and spongy and nice. It was a great night. You guys, hang in there, more of this to come! |

Oh Goodness
Just came back from LG at Faith's. I love it when people cook for me. + Last night I went to Vivo with Bernice dear to visit our mugging girl Xin over Superdog. And entertained ourselves in Daiso. + Last week I went to Bukit Batok so she can eat Mayim's Dimsum. + Last last last.... week Great Italian food at Domani (Ngee Ann City basement) was savored with great friend whom I haven't met for like damn long. Ever since Uni/YA moved out, I don't even see her in Nexus rawr. She's in that service and she's one busy mugger so we meet and talk little. + Weeks ago, we said byebye as Congsie moves on to the neighbouring LG. This is the second time I'm giving him a farewell, (the first was when MinOps took him hahaha) this is what happens to talented and willing people! All the best in WAM, bro! |

It's never too late, right?
There's lots of highlighted folders of photos on the desktop waiting to be blogged, but lemme start with what's been happening lately. You would think after major stuff like fyp and grad show, time is on your side, but noooo, okay never mind that for now. Today was all-the-way-up-to-old-school for MessyMsxi's first solo exhibition. The work was well worth the climb, and we even got to speak to her, she's so friendly! She's 5 years our senior, TP-grad too, been through Central St. Martins (*_*). Her name card tray is piled with name cards, some from big shots that we actually recognise. 0_0 What are we going to do these 5 years man? After Amanda went off (*wags eyebrows*), we went for grilled chicken and... NEOPLINTZZZZZ. Haaaa! The once glamorous neoprint machines have demoted to nothingness lately, and costs $3.I was very happy, since this suggestion failed on various groups of friends previously, but whoo hoo I did it today! And we made full use of the lack of customers in the machines. Would use the tablet to decor in PhotoShop if I am less lazy, but this is totally cheap thrill. ^^V We spent the night dreaming at the basement of OC, then running for last trains/buses. It's good to chillax for a while. + Yesterday's dinner was spent at PastaStylo at Farrer Park's City Square. Yes I know, don't judge it by its name/erm, design, it really serves good interesting fusion food. Ate happily with this group of precious people after not catching up for a year -__- Missing Kar who was burying her face in books. Our shared memories and old stories re-told and re-laughed at for countless times remind me of how real and tangible the days of serving in pastoral with them are. We have been watching one another grow old and grow up. Pete, whom I had a msn convo with when he was twelve, is now going to army. !!! We ended the night with taking photos with the Zoo Ad at the station. So super exciting. Even got someone to take a group photos for us, but it was blur /_\ I looked so happy hahaha. Let's not wait till next April to catch up again, okay? + Saturday we had MAD, again. Didn't know it's been such a long time. Kudos to Yiyou for her overflowing creativity and making this little booth so colourful and happy. We were being anal and cutting the black lines away. She joined me after saying I'm sick and anal, tsk. Hello woman, you're starting school soon! :) + My eyelids are getting heavier,

D022: let's not mind the name
I'm having immense difficulty catching up on my blogging. So, read something inspiring! http://www.designsojourn.com/apple-executives-have-balls-of-steel/ See something cool! http://hypebeast.com/2010/03/adidas-originals-2010-springsummer-vespa-collection/ (what's with me and limited edition collab products lately) Good design looks effortless, but is thoroughly thoughtful (whoops) 0 comments |

When I lose something in my pigsty of a room, I like to say... stop searching and I'll find.Maybe this applies to that aspect too. Such matters are so troublesome. 0 comments |
